The Maple Counseling Center's Crisis Response Team (CRT) provides on-scene support to victims, survivors, and witnesses of crimes, accidents, and disasters. Responding immediately to calls from police, sheriff, and fire departments, the CRT provides crisis intervention, support, and referrals to community members. The CRT is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and all services are free. Team volunteers from diverse backgrounds go through an extensive 10-week training program and receive ongoing supervision. The Team consists of the CRT Executive Supervisors who manage and coordinate the program and all the volunteer counselors.
The CRT’s primary response area includes Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, and Marina del Rey. The CRT serves people of all cultures and ages and has assisted those affected by suicides, deaths of children, partner abuse, homicides, sexual assaults, traffic collisions, robberies, hate crimes, in-home accidents and other traumatic incidents. The Maple Counseling Center’s Crisis Response Team has received formal recognition from numerous law enforcement agencies, fire protection services, city representatives, business owners, and private citizens for their professional, compassionate, dedicated, and effective interventions.
