The Maple Counseling Center offers several therapy groups
for a variety of ages and lifestyles.
Clients will need to schedule an appointment for an
intake with the group co-facilitator(s) as part of the
evaluative admission process
Clients need to fill out an application for counseling
to facilitate the therapeutic process. Applications can
be downloaded and filled out prior to clients' first

Men and Women's Interpersonal Therapy Group

Adult men and women of various ages
meet weekly to learn about how we interact with each
other and how others perceive us. A dynamic approach
is used, encouraging interaction between group members.
Gay Men's Interpersonal Therapy Group

of issues including difficult feelings about self and
others, self-sabotaging behavior, and the desire to enrich
personal and professional life.

Ongoing group for men and women who
are 62 or older who want to discuss issues regarding
aging. Explore concerns and ways to enhance the quality
of your life. Sharing your experiences will often point
the way to what might happen in coming years and how
to cope with the changes of growing older in a productive
and positive manner.
Parental Loss Bereavement Group

Mindful Parent Groups

An innovative group for parents and babies three months
to three years. Nurture your baby’s curiosity,
confidence, attachment, and natural motor development.
Nurture your own sensitivity, respectfulness, and patience
in communicating with your baby. Babies are grouped developmentally
by age. The center acknowledges Shirley Fonda for the
seed money to start this program.

wishing to improve the quality of your interpersonal
relationships. This group provides a safe, confidential
environment for women to explore complex feelings and
get supportive feedback from other women.

Children of Divorce

A safe place for kids to share their thoughts and feelings
with others in similar circumstances. The groups are
intended for elementary school children ages 7 – 10
years and middle school students ages 11-14 years old
whose parents are in the process of divorcing, have recently
divorced or have a conflictual post-divorce relationship.
